- Place deep bottom pan on medium heat, once hot, add oil and onions and garlic and fry until translucent, now add tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are dissolved, add chilies and turmeric and stir fry for another minute or two, add pumpkin stir until well incorporated, add water and let it cook for 8 minutes with the lid on..
